The Drama Club at AVCS is comprised of students from grades 7-12. The club has been in existence for the past 17 years. The musical production is the primary fundraiser. The money raised from the production is used for future productions, purchases to enhance the theatre program, theatre workshops, off set the cost of attending Broadway productions and Senior scholarships. A portion of the proceeds from this year's production will go to the Knight Hope fund.
The Drama Club faculty advisor is Diane White, the student officers are: Boone Nolan, President, Kariana Garrand, V. President, Sebastian Pray, Secretary, Katrina Newell, Treasurer, Michael Rafferty, 8th Grade Representative, Megan Zmijewski, 7th Grade Representative. All drama club members must participate, in some capacity, in the musical production, however you do not have to be in the drama club to be in the musical.
Elementary students also have the opportunity to be a part of the musical each year. An Elementary Theatre Workshop is held in January of each year, in which elementary students participate in theatre games and learn some basic theatre skills.
This year the muscial production is Anything Goesand we will be extending our cast to include faculty, staff and community members
