Grade 2 Owl Pellet Project

Students in Mrs. Sheila Taylor's Grade 2 class ended their Owl unit by dissecting Owl Pellets. Students studied Owls and learned about their habitats and their impact on our environment.

In groups of two, the children used their metal tools to take apart an owl pellet. An Owl Pellet is regurgitated fur and bones that the Owl does not digest.

The students enjoyed being scientists and discovering what animal their Owl had eaten. Click on a photo to view a large version.
