Keeseville Elementary School is one of two kindergarten through sixth grade elementary schools in the AuSable Valley Central School District. This beautiful building was built in 1958 and has been a focal point for the Keeseville community ever since that first day when its doors opened.
Keeseville Elementary School recently applied and was accepted into the No Excuses University (NEU) network of elementary and middle schools across the United States! Keeseville Elementary is only the second school in the state of New York to be accepted into this nationwide network.
NEU campuses use a well-defined process to identify and create the following systems: culture of universal achievement, collaboration, standards alignment, assessment, data analysis, and interventions. The NEU schools also expose students to powerful college symbolism, including college flags and banners hung on doors and in hallways. Each of our classrooms has adopted a college and all students at KES will learn about colleges and what it takes to prepare for college.
We are very proud to be a part of the NEU network and we look forward to making sure KES provides a world class education for the students so that down the road, students who choose to go to college will have the skills necessary to succeed in college.
The entire Keeseville community has a tremendous amount of pride in the accomplishments of the students who attend Keeseville Elementary. These students have been acknowledged around the area for their respect of others, their caring, compassionate attitudes and their eagerness to work hard to reach their goals. We love our students and we look forward to a wonderful school year.
