The Battle of Valcour Bay Mural is completed! Last year our Studio Art students worked with visiting artist Gerald Gardner and art teachers Jennifer Winternitz and Rebecca Conklin to create the ceramic tiles for this mixed media mural. We also had many volunteers help to make this possible. Sharon Bainbridge, the MHS Library Media Specialist, and Jennifer Winternitz applied for and were awarded the CVNHP Local Heritage Grant that funded this project. The mural is installed on the AKC Civic Center in Keeseville. A ribbon cutting ceremony will be taking place on Sunday October 11th at 4pm at the Civic Center. Please join us! Funding for this project came from a 2026 Champlain Valley National Heritage Partnership (CVNHP) Local Heritage Grant. The CVNHP works with partners across the region to promote, conserve, and interpret the shared cultural and natural heritage of the Lake Champlain region in New York, Vermont, and Quebec. ...
