Hello AuSable Valley Middle School Community,
My name is Jamie LaBarge, and I am honored to serve as the Interim Principal at AuSable Valley Middle School. I bring with me over three decades of experience in education and public service, including 13 years as Principal at Stafford Middle School, 3 years as Assistant Principal at Plattsburgh High School, and 17 years as a History teacher.
Beyond the classroom, I also dedicated 15 years as an EMT, serving as EMS Captain and President of the Altona Fire Department — experiences that have shaped my deep commitment to leadership, service, and community.
I am truly excited to work alongside the outstanding students, families, and staff of the AuSable Valley School District. Together, I believe we can continue to build a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.
