The AuSable Valley Central School District has always strived to provide strong educational opportunities for our students while being the center of our community. I look forward to the upcoming school year and continuing to build and foster relationships with all stakeholders district wide. I am excited to be working with our dedicated Board of Education, administrators, faculty and staff as we continue to follow our District’s vision of preparing all AVCS students for the demands and challenges of life through a rigorous curriculum in a safe, comforting and inclusive environment. We will continue to emphasize the importance of positive character strengths among our students and community members to promote Patriot Pride! This will be built upon a foundation of integrity, empathy, respect and a strong work ethic.
AVCS is committed to supporting our students and families through partnerships with local organizations and by seeking out competitive grants to support our vision and Patriot Priorities. This is an exciting time for our district as we utilize these resources to support a strong college and career-bound culture. We will continue to integrate technology, offer after school programming, provide additional academic support, various clubs and extracurricular activities to meet the diverse needs of our students. Here at AVCS students are our first priority and it is with great Patriot Pride we will continue to offer these opportunities and many more!
I would like to again thank our community members for supporting our much needed capital project. Work will begin early next year with major portions of phase one taking place over the summer. I will continue to update our community on our website, Facebook, and through mailings. It will be important to share all the positive things that are happening here at AVCS with all stakeholders.
I look forward to welcoming all of our students and families throughout the year at our schools, concerts, athletic events, theatrical productions, and other school-related activities.
